Postdoctoral Fellow

Over the past several decades, Immunobiology has emerged to stand at the forefront of biomedical research and is likely to remain there for many decades to come. There has never been a more exciting time to work in and study Immunobiology. Beginning in late 2020, the Department of Immunobiology announced a new Personalized Defense Initiative with the goal to stimulate host:microbe basic and translational research, foster highly impactful projects on host:microbe interactions, and to support training of a new generation of investigators at the University. One major component of this initiative is to recruit highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associates to perform cutting-edge research in an intradisciplinary setting between the Wilson and Johnson labs at the University of Arizona. The successful applicant will possess the desire to participate in the study of how the oral microbiota impacts chronic inflammation and tumorigenesis in the oral cavity. This project is currently funded for two years. Close to, or  recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply. More information regarding the lab’s research projects can be found at https://immunobiology.arizona.edu/profile/justin-e-wilson-phd and http://immunobiology.arizona.edu/research/johnson-lab/research.
