Assistant Professor, Center for Computational and Integrative Biology & Center for Integrated Solutions for Infectious Diseases

The Center for Computational and Integrative Biology (CCIB) at Massachusetts General Hospital
(MGH) together with the Center for Integrated Solutions for Infectious Diseases (CISID), invite
outstanding scientists or physician-scientists for a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant
Professor at Harvard Medical School. The candidate will be fully employed by CCIB at MGH in
the Department of Medicine, and their laboratory will be within the rich research community of the
Simches Research Center at MGH. Ideal candidates are pursuing innovative approaches to
fundamental problems in infectious disease and immunology relevant to human infection.

The candidate will be a faculty member of the CISID, an interinstitutional collaboration between
Harvard, affiliated Harvard hospitals, MIT, and the Broad Institute. The goal of CISID is to
transform research in infectious diseases to impact human health through foundational biological
insight, cutting-edge technologies, collaborative integration, and a commitment to excellence. This
synergizes with the goal of CCIB to foster interdisciplinary and quantitative research to answer
enduring biological questions and provide insights into human disease. Our Center members have
access to world-class research facilities on-site, at Harvard Medical School, and at the Broad
Institute, and to a large research data and sample biorepository of consented patients at the
hospitals. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive startup package to build an
independent research program and will engage in teaching students and fellows in the laboratory
and/or classroom.

Appointment as an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with
experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates should
hold a PhD, MD-PhD, or MD degree.

Interested candidates should submit a single PDF containing a cover letter, curriculum vitae,
bibliography, and conceptual summary of future research plans (~3 pages) to
[email protected]. Candidates are responsible for having three letters of
recommendation sent directly by three referees. Complete application packages will be accepted
through October 31st, 2023.
