The Department of Microbiology at NYU Langone Health invites applications for tenure track positions at the Assistant Professor level. Exceptional Associate Professor candidates will also be considered. Applicants with outstanding backgrounds in characterizing fundamental aspects of infection biology are encouraged to apply. We seek applicants with a Ph.D., M.D. or M.D. and Ph.D. degrees and a strong record of achievement to join our interdisciplinary research team, which is comprised of faculty with expertise in bacteriology, immunology, parasitology, and virology (https://med.nyu.edu/departments-institutes/microbiology/faculty). The candidate’s research interests should synergize with the highly collaborative environment within the department and the larger NYU Langone Health research community.
New faculty members will be supported with generous start-up packages, excellent laboratory space, access to laboratory animal facilities (including germ-free and ABSL3), an insectary, and a wide range of state-of-the-art core facilities providing services in genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, bioinformatics, cell imaging, flow cytometry, and pathology. Successful candidates are expected to initiate and maintain a vigorous, independent, extramurally funded research program and to participate in the Ph.D. program of the Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $150,000 – $180,000 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, and funding history.
