Faculty at any rank – Contract Research

Texas Biomed has a robust relationship with a number of industry partners in diagnostics, therapies and vaccines and supports a faculty track in contract research. The Institute seeks to recruit faculty at any rank that will assume a primary role in the translational/contract research arm of the Institute; preparing and submitting applications for RFPs, developing contract study scope, performing research, preparing scientific reports, and working within the guidelines of regulated studies. Expertise can include prior research or contract studies using a variety of animal models (non-human primates, rodents, etc.), in vitro models, and a variety of infectious agents including select agents. Opportunities to develop a research program in parallel are available.

Qualifications: M.D., Ph.D. and/or DVM in Microbiology, Immunology, Genetics, or other related fields.  Demonstrated research productivity and evidence of an independently-funded research program.  Experience working with interdisciplinary research teams, and mentoring members of underrepresented groups.
