Malique is a Master’s Student in the Biddle Lab at the University of Delaware’s CEOE. He is a microbial ecologist studying how the little things ultimately make the world go ‘round. Specifically, he is using host-associated microbes to track pollution in waterways to better assess water quality. Malique obtained a BS in Marine Biology from Florida Southern College, during that time he worked to better understand host-associated microorganisms of non-human primates, identify populations of marine oil-degrading bacteria, and identify metabolic needs of sub-surface archaea.
