Texas Biomed seeks to recruit faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to develop/expand a successful and impactful independent research program that will be supported by federal and independent agency funds. Research interests can include basic research on viral interactions with host, development of vaccines or therapeutics for viral infection, or the study of viral communities in line with our institutional programs. Examples include mechanisms of virus cell entry, the impact of viral infection on non-communicable diseases, and protective immunity to viral infections.

Qualifications: M.D., Ph.D. and/or DVM in Microbiology, Immunology, Genetics, or other related fields.  Demonstrated research productivity and evidence of an independently-funded research program.  Experience working with interdisciplinary research teams, and mentoring members of underrepresented groups.
